Available for Adoption
Update May 2008 : No dogs are available for adoption at
this time. Since a Leonberger may
come into our care at any time, it is important to have possible adoption
families set up in advance. If you
are considering adoption, please read the information below. We are happy to hear from interested
parties now. We will contact you
when and if a Leo in need of rescue becomes available.

Important
Information regarding Adoptions
Since the dog’s welfare must come first we do not simply allow
our adopters to pick their own dog, nor do we place our dogs on a
‘first-come-first-serve’ basis.
Rather, we first determine a dog’s needs and then match them to
whoever is able to meet those needs best.
If you are interested in one of the dogs listed above, you may
mention that on your Application Form.
We will evaluate your application relevant to that dog's needs. We would only approve your request if the
match was right for all involved.
If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter,
please complete the Adoption Application Form and return it to us at your earliest
convenience. We will keep your
information on file and contact you should a suitable dog become
available.
Special Note: Please be sure you have read Adoption Info to fully understand
some of the potential challenges of adopting a rescued dog.
